New cabinets cost a fortune — and most of the time, you do not need them. What you need is a painter who can make your existing cabinets look brand new. My cabinetry painting is top-notch: I focus on a flawless, factory-smooth finish using very durable coatings designed specifically for kitchens, bathrooms, and pantries.

Baldwin Custom Painting is without question one of the best painting companies in Sacramento. Jeff Baldwin’s skill and eye for detail surpass almost every other painter in the area, and a reputation built job by job, referral by referral, proves it. Nowhere does that difference show more than in a set of cabinets done right.

A flawless finish is the whole job

Anyone can brush paint onto a cabinet door. Getting a finish that looks and feels factory-made — smooth to the touch, no brush marks, no drips, no rough edges — takes a level of care most painters never attempt. That flawless finish is what I focus on with every cabinet I paint, because cabinets are the first thing people touch and the first thing they see up close.

Coatings built for the hardest-working rooms

Kitchens, bathrooms, and pantries punish paint: steam, grease, splatter, constant handling, cleaning products. That is why I use very durable coatings designed specifically for cabinetry in these rooms — finishes engineered to resist moisture, stand up to daily wear, and keep looking new for years. Your cabinets will not just look beautiful on day one; they will stay that way.

My cabinet refinishing process

  1. Removal. Doors, drawers, and hardware come off and are finished separately for a true factory look.
  2. Deep cleaning and degreasing. Kitchen cabinets especially hold year
s of grease and residue — all of it comes off before any paint goes on.
  3. Sanding and repair. Every surface is sanded smooth; dings, dents, and worn spots are repaired.
  4. Priming. The right bonding primer for a grip that lasts.
  5. Sprayed finish. Doors and drawers are spray-finished for that flawless, brush-mark-free surface; boxes are finished in place with the same care.
  6. Cure and reinstall. Everything is given proper time to harden, then reinstalled. I can also install new pulls and knobs if you would like an updated look.

Kitchens, bathrooms, pantries, and built-ins

I paint and refinish kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, pantry cabinetry, laundry rooms, and built-in cabinetry throughout the home. If it is made of wood and needs a flawless finish, it is my kind of work.
